The Roads Contractor Company (RCC) is mandated to undertake construction and maintenance of roads infrastructure in Namibia and to provide for matters incidental thereto. As a commercial State-Owned-Enterprise (SOE), the RCC operate under the oversight of the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises (MFPE).
RCC was established in 1999, through the Act of Parliament, the Roads Contractor Company Act (Act 14 of 1999), hereby referred to as the “RCC Act,” with a mandate to undertake roads construction or maintenance and related business. Subject to the other provisions of this Act, the object of the Company is to undertake work relating to the construction or maintenance of roads or any other construction works in accordance with sound and generally accepted business principles. This is critical to enhance the transportation network within Namibia. Pursuant thereto, RCC has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety. The objects of this Act are to provide for the incorporation of a Company to undertake roads construction or maintenance and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
